Hello
I am very pleased to be here. I was introdued to this site by my friend Kittywake. I am an avid member of The Tudors wiki. I have to be honest and state that I do not know anywhere near as much about The Borgias as I do The Tudors. But learning something new is always a pleasure. We have a real sense of community over on The Tudors website and I have every confidence that the same thing will happen here.. I am very impressed by the layout. Congratulations to all that are responsible for making this happen. and good luck for the future.

Hello and welcome Sara.

We hope we are doing your beautiful country justice with the vast renaissance heritage that it has. We are so looking forward to the Borigas and if it is as good as the Tudprs we are in for a treat.

Greetings!

I am so excited to be here! :-)

As a diehard super-fan of "The Tudors," I experienced great sadness upon learning that the show would come to an end in 2010.

Nevertheless, I was comforted by new tidings, and expectations of a new Renaissance series would soon fill my empty heart... ;-)

I have not read much about the Borgias, to be quite honest, but I eagerly anticipate reading about them (and doing my homework) in the very near future so that I can best appreciate, enjoy, and follow the upcoming series. Any recommendations for reading materials about this notorious family? :-)

Although Michael Hirst did not follow history to the letter in "The Tudors," he DID make history come alive for me in a breathtaking, unparalleled fashion.

I can't wait to see more of his genius in "The Borgias"!

Hello all and new members! I'm pretty much a hostage to early modern history. I love Italian history with a passion and it grows by the day. My heroines are Caterina Sforza and Isabella d'Este. They truly epitomize the Renaissance ideal woman, but for different reasons. Both share the qualities of strength, integrity, beauty, grace, intelligence, self-determination, and honor. These two ladies make my heart sing - and the lyrics are 'woman is the measure of all things!'

I can't wait to meet all of you! Enjoy the wiki!

Hello Everyone!! I am new here and don't know too much about the Borgias so far. The coming attraction for the show looked really good, but I honestly don't know how anything could ever top the TUDORS, which is my favorite TV show of all time!!!! However, I am very much looking forward to learning more about these fascinating historical figures and to chatting with all of you! 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi and Welcome Princess85. We are also Tudor lovers, but this is a fascinating period of the Renaissance. The Borgias will have it all, love, lust, power, murder, bribery, and more.

Hi everyone! I'm another fan who came over from "The Tudors" wiki. I absolutely love Medieval/Renaissance history, so I am greatly looking forward to another Hirst take on this fascinating era. I have to admit though that as far as the Italian nobility is concerned, I know a little about the Medici and even less about the Borgias. But, you all have done a wonderful job of providing relevant historical/background info on this wiki, so hopefully I'll be familiar with the Borgias in no time. :)
I look forward to watching this show and discussing with all of you!

Hi and welcome lauren-marie

It is going to be a fantastic show. With Sir *bows* Derek Jacobi on board as Cardinal Orsini Rodrigo's rivals are coming thick and fast. Bring on Savanrola!!!

A lot of people here will have seen me knocking around on the Tudors Wiki, and now I have decided to rear my head over here, too! Don't be too alarmed, though. For I know virtually nothing about the Borgias, but I'm looking forward to learning all about them. :) Do you find this valuable?

Welcome Ellimental! I think that you are going to find that this family is seriously corrupt, for lack of a better word. With it's patriarch a Pope, there is not a commandment they haven't broken. LOL

Hi, to everyone! I'm a long time fan of The Tudors. I am looking forward to The Borgias, although I am afraid they might even be more notorious that Henry VIII !? I may be the oldest one here but I hope I can contribute to the discussions. I am a history buff and I look forward to leaning more.
