Cute Story
I found this blurb about Lucrezia while searching for a specific recipe on this site:
http://blogs.sfweekly.com/foodie/2007/08/wild_salmon_sweet_pea_and_rico.php The author wrote:
The origin of “tortellini” is very cloudy, and several stories exist regarding how it was invented. This version, found on Wikipedia, is my favorite, and totally sounds like something a chef would do.
“One legend says that this dish is born in Castelfranco Emilia (province of Modena). One night during a trip, Lucrezia Borgia checked into an inn in the small town. The host was captivated by her beauty and couldn't resist the urge to peek into her room through the keyhole. The light inside the bedroom was only made by a few candles and so he could only see her navel. This pure and innocent vision was enough to send him into an ecstasy that inspired him to create the tortellini that night.”
No idea about all the sources but I just think it was cute how I randomly found a Borgia story while doing my other favorite hobby, recipe collecting!

Show Lucrezia vs Historical Lucrezia
Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you nightstarrocker for adding the recent correct information about Lucrezia Borgia.
Unfortunately, I had to edit a few historically accurate details about Lucrezia's life on her "Character Page" above, and replace them with "Show/Character" details. The page titled "Lucrezia Borgia Historical Profile" is where we should add and edit the actual historical details. See below: http://theborgias.wetpaint.com/page/Lucrezia+Borgia+Historical+Profile
Thanks!

*SPOILER* Game
Let's call this one ... The "Who Killed Juan" Game
We all know it is coming even if we are not sure exactly when or how they will play it out. So, why don't we make a little game of it and see if we can have some fun with it.
Below is a list of the "usual suspects" who might be implicated in his death ... God knows by the promos that he is wracking up enemies by the minute. Once a day a member can vote for the person that they feel will be responsible for Juan's death. What you do is copy the list from the last post made and paste it in your new post section and then add +1 to the score of the person you think is responsible for his death and put a -1 by a person you think will not be responsible for his death. As we go names will eventually be eliminated until we have a winner. It shouldn't take too long as the list of "real" possibilities is probably a short one. :)
Should be interesting to see how close we come to the story line. Have fun !!!

Exciting New project Coming Up For Ronan Vibert !!
I was checking out the list of upcoming projects for Ronan Vibert and I came across this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1018103/
For any history buff I think this will be a must see !! I was especially pleased to see the return of Mark Lester in this one. For all of you younger members, you might not recognize that name but for those of you over 40 (like me ... way over 40. lol ) he played Oliver Twist in the 1968 production of Oliver! . Many young girls had huge crushes on this young man, me included. He basically has not done anything in the movies or TV since 1977, so to see his return is a thrill.
Ronan Vibert will be play the brother of Mark Lester's character, King Harold II. I cannot wait to see this movie!!

Ronan Vibert's interview
I'm not sure if someone already posted here...(not sure how "new" this interview is) but here it is:
I believe you have just finished filming the second series of The Borgias, how did it go? Filming went well. Good to be back in Budapest with the gang. Some great big scenes with the French army but wont say any more…you’ll have to see later in the year.
What was it about the character/story of Giovanni Sforza that attracted you to the role? The whole project attracted me. That period in Italian history. Brutal yet incredibly creative.
Obviously as an actor you must be faced with challenges all the time, what did you find your biggest challenge was whilst filming The Borgias? Getting my horse to do what I wanted sometimes was a challenge but mostly well behaved.
I believe you worked with Sir Derek Jacobi a while ago on Cadfael, was it nice to be reunited with him on the set of The Borgias? I missed Derek, which was a shame, because he had done his scenes before I got there. Cadfael was filmed in Budapest as well.
Is there any particular genre of film or project you’d love to work on? I always like to do projects that are different from the one before. Going from Renaissance Italy to 19th century West Virginia, within a few days, was a wild one.
Having spoken to you briefly in the past I know you’re incredibly passionate about music, can you play any instruments/sing/write music yourself? No. Was lead singer in a band when I was younger.
And finally what projects do you have lined up for the future? Anything you can tell us about? Last year was busy up to just before Christmas so happy to be ‘resting’ back home right now and off to Miami on Monday for some much needed sun, beach and sea. Have a film in the spring..if all goes well.
If you missed out on the first series of The Borgias, you can now watch the first season on demand on the Showtime website.
