This costume is nothing short of amazing. She must have felt like a queen in it. The detail in the sleeves is something to be marvelled at! ~offwithherhead~ | I absolutely LOVE this dress. It's my favorite by far. The color and fabric it's made from is stunning! Absolutely gorgeous. -MarquessPembroke519 | I adore this dress and Lucrezia suits pastel colour, the bodice and sleeves are out of this world. + Kittywake09+ | | Lucrezia's Gown is made up of layers. Starting with her Camisa or under shift/smock, then her gown or Gamurra and a sleevless over gown known as Giornea, so the sleeves you see are attached to the Gamurra not the Giornea. I like how this Giornea is laced in the front, giving a range of movement Typically ladies of this time would have their hair 'taped' up or braided into a Coazzone, which could have pearls and jewels inserted within. | | This was a lovely blue dress, the design and colors are breathtaking and work wonderfully with Lucrezia's complexion. I love the satin down the front of the skirts. This is similar to her pink gown that the skirt and bodice are two different materials; but for this gown it works much better because the bodice is has more of a design to it. Either way she looks beautiful!-Anne'sCurls | | | |

I think I love this costume even more than the one above. This girl was made to wear pastel colours! ~offwithherhead~ | The pale pink looks gorgeous on her, I think they should have kept the whole bodice the same shade, but oh well. It's a pretty gown but a bit boring compared to the others. Once again I love the sleeves, especially the cute little bows on the shoulders. poppypineapple | She looks amazing in this color, but it's not my favorite. I do love the headpiece though. It's so delicate and goes really well with her style. -MarquessPembroke519 | Another pastel dress that suits Lucrezia. The neckline and shoulders are stunning. +Kittywake09+ | The rose like the red plays well against her skin, she is lucky warm, cool, and earth tones work so well, what a lovely gown. * butterflyfunkychic* | This is an ok dress, it's not as beautiful as the blue dress. I really am not in love with the bodice of this gown, it might be the fabric they used for it that is a problem for me. I don't think this color works the best with her complexion. The skirt and sleeves are a good color and the fabric looks beautiful. -Anne'sCurls |

Detail of 'The Disputation of Saint Catherine' | Member Comments:
This costume appears to be based on the fresco 'The Disputation of Saint Catherine' by Pinturicchio. The cut is almost identical, though the colours have been changed - perhaps to match the red and gold on Giulia's portrait gown. She also wears the seahorse necklace that Giulia gifts her. Donna_Cecilia | The colour is so rich and beautiful, she looks very mature in this gown. I love the detail on the bodice. I think she's trying to copy Giulia here which is very cute. The seahorse necklace looks wonderful with this outfit, something to bring attention to her chest but nothing too flashy. I just wished they had used those nice lacy puffs in the sleeves, they look nicer than the plain cotton ones which looks like hankies popping out of her sleeves to me. poppypineapple | She's someone who can pull off any style. And I love that it looks to be based on Giulia's gown. Bringing true history to life! Gorgeous deep colors... -MarquessPembroke519 | Although this dress is very beautiful, I do prefer Holliday in the pastel coloured gowns. She is gorgeous in anything, but I believe prettier in lighter colours. ~offwithherhead~ | | Green and red are complementary colors so I can see why they work so beautifully to make this gown harmonize perfectly, love it! *butterflyfunkychic* |

I love the sleeves of this gown...I think it's more simple than the others, but also beautiful Lucrezia_Borja | It's a bit more plain but just as playful as the others. The warm colours really suit her and she looks very sweet and innocent. I love the floral pattern on the fabric. poppypineapple | Much more maidenly and innocent than the last dress but the details are still exquisite -MarquessPembroke519 | | Very plain and nothing to write home about. The pattern reminds me of curtains, and the two patterns joining at the top of the sleeves just doesn't look right to me. -Anne'sCurls'11 |

| It is pale rose gown, with some details in a more strong colour in the sleeves. | She looks very angelic here, pale colours suit her so well. Once again the front looks a bit plain but the finer details really bring this outfit to life. I especially like the beading and the cuffs. poppypineapple | It is used in the fist episode and in the promo "it could be deadly". Lucrezia_Borja |

This dress is exquisite. The colours really suit Holliday and the bodice is discreet but allurinrg. Love the sleeves, overall another winner. + Kittywake09 + | I absolutely LOVE this dress. The colors are stunning as is the fabric on the bodice. Gorgeous! -MarquessPembroke519 | | Wait, what, has this aired yet? Did I blink and miss this gown? It is a beautiful color and this is one of the few gowns where the colors work well together.-Anne'sCurls | I love this gown, and the colour is breath taking. She must have felt like a princess every day she went to work! ~offwithherhead~ | This color really works on her, love it my favorite dress so far. * butterflyfunkychic* |

| I might get beaten up for this, but it reminds me of Anne Boleyn's coronation gown. It is beautiful in it's own right, though does anyone else think maybe the pale hair, pale skin, and pale dress washes her out a little? BTW I am loving the use of the "cut sleeves" in this production-Anne'sCurls | I love this dress...the design within the material...the beading...and the veil. I think this is the perfect dress for her to wear in the wedding scene! ~offwithherhead~ | | Well Anne'sCurls, the coloring is the same as the coronation gown you mentioned from The Tudors. And yes, she is a little washed out but that is a danger with cream and whites. Especially with a light complexion that was so prized in this time period. I think they were trying to play up the ornateness of this gown, as well as the cloth of gold and gold embroidery. Its appropriate for the wedding gown, it just didn't give to pep her paleness away. It's just the nature of the beast. *butterflyfunkychic* | Wealthy People of this era would spend their monies on making the wedding Dress a gown to rememeber. Spending all of the seasons crop cash on the gowns in question. Typically not White at all, and as sumptuous as could be made. Holliday is a very pale Blonde so I think that had to work on the fabrics so that she would not be lost in the colors. I feel it should have had more jewels as she is the only daughter of the Pope, as such she should have shown even more Bling, then what we were shown. It is a very lovely gown. |

Another winnner + Kittywake09 + | A very nice warm coat with fur, lovely *butterflyfunkychic* | I adore this coat! ~SorayaofNaples~ | | I adore the sleeves on this Zimurra, it is clearly not a cloak as it has sleeves, but it could be called a "Dutch Cloak" which was popular in other regions of the world. Notice the fur being used to keep her warm as there was a mini-ice-age during this time. I think the caul we see as she was married, was to well show her being a young matron. Notice as she went from Virgin to Married lady her colors became darker in hue. |

The costume designer really knows her stuff when dressing Lucrezia in the proper shades to complement her coloring. Each gown looks like it could be in an italian fresco. She is so sweet and innocent being dressed and fitted here, you wouldn't imagine her poisoning your drink ;-) *butterflyfunkychic* | | Another good use of pale colors on a pale woman. Not my favorite dress but it is very pretty. Unfortunately I never got a good look of the details on the gown and it looks from this picture that there are some good details on the skirt, sleeves, and bodice. She looks beautiful. -Anne'sCurls |

| The burgundy gold and russet hues in this gown really pops her pale complexion with some color. Its a good home dress as they use in the scene, its not flashy like the other gowns with beading and lace but has just as impact. Nice contrast against pale hair and skin. *butterflyfunkychic* | OMG, where do they find these fabrics? They are so hot, I would rock this anyday! ~SorayaofNaples~ | | This is a very unattractive gown. The colors don't work well imo. And I can't tell what is going on with the front of her bodice but it doesn't work well with me. But again, I am happy to see the cut sleeves again.-Anne'sCurls |
